Please only apply if you currently live within a commutable distance of Hampshire and Dorset, and meet the minimum qualifications requirement already and have Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for daily use.
The main duties are to deliver sport and physical activities to children and young people, both in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and/or set Schemes of Work, and also delivering a range of out of school hours learning (OSHL), extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school and in school holiday periods, 7 days a week including evenings and weekends with delivery of our tots programme and managing grassroots football teams.
Candidates should have experience and excellent knowledge of working with children & young people (highly beneficial) with qualifications in sports coaching, which should include:

  • NGB Level 2 Coaching Certificate (mandatory) plus additional L1 qualifications
  • L2/3 Supporting Learning in PE and School Sport (PESS) (highly beneficial)
  • L2 Multi-Skills Development (highly beneficial)
  • Early Years Foundations Stage/Child Development (beneficial)
  • Gymnastics, Street dance and qualifications in non-mainstream sports (highly beneficial)
  • Enhanced CRC check
  • Safeguarding & First Aid Certificates

Candidates should have competency to perform at consistently high standards in a school and youth football club environment:

  • Be able to plan a range of innovative coaching sessions and programmes
  • Set up & deliver high quality sports coaching sessions to children and young people
  • Develop and inspire young people to live and lead active lifestyles
  • Be able to produce accurate assessments and reports on children and young people’s progress
  • Knowledge of the PE National Curriculum (highly beneficial)
  • Good understanding of how a youth football club is structured with managerial experience

The role has accountability for exhibiting technical coaching expertise together with all player, parent & host representative engagement on the day. Depending upon the deliverable, it might have responsibility for the control & governance of equipment & all paperwork, plus the people management of assistant coaches where applicable. Ideas & suggestions linked to session improvement & business opportunities would be valued.

Effectively & efficiently fulfilling the Tecnico operational coaching schedule that is assigned to the role. Planning & co-ordinating session content to ensure continuity & defined themes of development across differing groups to a defined quality benchmark of Tecnico Coaching.

MANAGEMENT (5%)

Overseeing any required business & people management practices for coaching sessions assigned.

ADMINISTRATION/LOGISTICS (5%)

Application of all the requisite paperwork & logistic requirements connected with your sessions. Providing necessary feedback linked to your coaching sessions including players, performance insight & incident forms.

GOVERNNANCE/CONTROLS (5%)

Upholding all requisite business governance & controls/checks necessary to create, maintain & retain accurate records compliance with stipulated internal & external policies/procedures

TEAM PLAYER (5%)

Working with all levels of Tecnico-coaching structure & central office to ensure our brand is enhanced at every customer & business partner touch point. Taking responsibility for escalating & eradicating identified performance issues.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (5%)

Continuously identifying ideas for growing broader opportunities for business growth of Tecnico Coaching. When time dictates, works with & uses an external network of relationships to access broader knowledge, skills & experience that aids the continuous growth of Tecnico Coaching legacy.

MANAGEMENT (5%)

Overseeing the required business & people management practices for coaching sessions assigned within the Tecnico Coaching schedule. An input to bespoke events & associated marketing activities when requested & tasks linked to coaching sessions which you are leading on.

ADMINISTRATION/LOGISTICS (10%)

Application of all the requisite paperwork & logistic requirements connected with your sessions. Providing necessary feedback back to the Head coach /Central office linked to your sessions including all players, performance insight & incident forms.

GOVERNNANCE/CONTROLS (10%)

Upholding all requisite business governance & controls/checks necessary to create, maintain & retain accurate records & compliance with stipulated internal & external policies/procedures.

ROLE: HEAD COACH

This role has sole accountability for the performance & business growth of Tecnico Coaching with the management, administration/logistics of a sub team of coaches. It requires critical, effective, efficient planning & delivery of high quality coaching sessions together with managing & executing the Tecnico Coaching business growth plan associated with the specific component the role is accountable for.
This encapsulates all deliverables within the Tecnico Coaching schedule assigned plus any bespoke programmes assigned on a rolling basis
Business growth targets would be mutually agreed across 4 core segments of the brand – Income; Demand; Personnel; Service – along with all associated governance/controls & policies/procedures demanded of it. The role has a direct link to the Board & proactive business engagement will be a pre-requisite of it. The management of the sub team as an entity & everything that happens within it falls within the scope & remit of the role.

COACHING (40%)

Effectively & efficiently fulfilling the Tecnico Coaching operational coaching schedule that is assigned. Bringing new & inventive thinking to all the session content offered by the sub team of coaches that reflects current leading-edge practices across the professional game. Planning, co-ordinating & measuring impact of session content to ensure player development is paramount. Identifies strengths & weaknesses within coaches & players & execute plans to positively address it.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (25%)

Continuously identifying & executing ideas for growing the assigned role alongside broader opportunities for business growth of Tecnico Coaching. To create, maintain & foster a productive working network of external relationships to access broader knowledge, skills & experience that aids the continuous growth of the role & overall Tecnico Coaching legacy.

MANAGEMENT (15%)

Overseeing the sub team, business & people management practices for coaching schedules, bespoke events & marketing activities & all associated tasks linked to the effective delivery of the overall proposition assigned to the role. Actively addresses performance shortcomings & escalates brand related issues to the central office for evaluation, accompanied by personnel recommendations

ADMINISTRATION/LOGISTICS (10%)

Application of all the requisite paperwork & logistic requirements connected with the head coach role & all existing & new personnel assigned to it. Oversees the execution of bespoke event initiatives that deliver a quality experience for customers, sponsors & coaches alike.

GOVERNNANCE/CONTROLS (10%)

Working with all levels upholding & proactively managing all requisite business governance & controls/checks necessary to create, maintain & retain accurate business records & compliance with stipulated internal & external policies/procedures.
